Refund & Cancellation Policy

General Policy

At Locksmith Dude, we take pride in providing prompt, professional locksmith services. Because much of our work is time-sensitive and performed on-site, our services are generally non-refundable once completed. However, we believe in fairness and will always review refund or adjustment requests on a case-by-case basis.

 

Cancellations

  • Before Arrival:
    If you need to cancel a scheduled appointment, please contact us as soon as possible at the phone number or email provided in your booking confirmation.
    Cancellations made before a technician has been dispatched will not incur a fee.

  • After Dispatch or Arrival:
    If a technician is already en route or has arrived on-site, a service call or trip fee may still apply to cover travel and time expenses.

  • Emergency Calls:
    Emergency locksmith services (e.g., lockouts) are dispatched immediately and cannot be canceled once the technician is on the way.

Rescheduling

We understand emergencies and delays happen. You may reschedule your appointment at no additional cost by contacting us at least one hour before your scheduled time.
Frequent or repeated last-minute rescheduling may require a deposit for future appointments.

 

Refunds

Refunds may be issued at our discretion if:

  • The service was not completed as agreed due to our error.

  • A defective part installed by us fails within its warranty period (usually 30 days).

  • A duplicate charge or billing error occurred.

Refunds will not be provided for:

  • Completed services where the work was performed correctly.

  • Customer dissatisfaction based on pricing after service acceptance.

  • Damage or issues caused by misuse, pre-existing conditions, or unauthorized repairs.

Approved refunds will be processed to the original payment method (cash, card, Wix, Zelle, or SquareUp) within 5–10 business days.

Deposits

In certain cases — such as large commercial jobs or custom hardware orders — a deposit may be required. Deposits are non-refundable once materials have been ordered or scheduling has been confirmed.
